Optima Gold Securities Ltd is a family-owned bullion dealer registered in England and Wales, trading from Savoy Court, off the Strand, London WC2R 0EX. References in this policy to 'we', 'us', or 'our' are to Optima Gold Securities Ltd.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — name, address, telephone, email, government-issued ID, payment and bank details — when you open an account, place an order, or request a quote. We also collect transaction records, correspondence with our trade desk, and limited technical data (IP address, browser type, referring page) when you use this website.
Why we collect it
We use the information to verify your identity under UK anti-money-laundering regulations, fulfil orders, settle funds, provide customer service, send transactional emails, comply with HMRC reporting, detect fraud, and improve our service. We do not sell your data to third parties, ever.
Lawful basis
We rely on contract (to deliver bullion you have ordered), legal obligation (AML, KYC, HMRC, fraud-prevention statutes), and legitimate interest (improving our service and protecting our business). Marketing communications require your explicit consent and may be withdrawn at any time.
Who we share it with
Limited categories of recipients: HMRC and other UK regulators where required by law; our shipping partner Brink's Global Services for fully insured deliveries; our payments provider for settlement; our auditors; and, where you have requested it, third-party grading services. All recipients are bound by data-processing agreements.
How long we keep it
AML records are retained for five years after the end of our business relationship with you, as required by UK regulation. Transaction records are retained for six years for HMRC purposes. Marketing preferences are retained until you withdraw consent or two years of inactivity, whichever is sooner.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, port, restrict, or erase your personal data, subject to the AML retention obligations above.
